CATEGORIES OF DATA

HOTEL processes the following categories of personal data:

  • Identification data: first name, surname(s).
  • Contact details: postal address, email address, mobile phone number.
  • Personal characteristics data: date of birth, gender, nationality.
  • Preference data.
  • Bank card details.
  • CV data provided by job applicants.

If the User provides personal data relating to third parties, the User represents that they have obtained the consent of such individuals and undertakes to provide them with the information contained in this Privacy Policy, releasing HOTEL from any liability in this regard. However, HOTEL may carry out the necessary checks to verify this fact and adopt the appropriate due diligence measures in accordance with applicable data protection regulations.

PURPOSE OF PROCESSING

HOTEL processes the categories of data listed above for the following purposes:

  • To manage reservation requests, including payment processing, requests, and guest preferences.
  • To manage contact requests submitted through the communication channels made available by HOTEL.
  • To manage the provision of the booked accommodation service, as well as any services associated with the stay.If you make a booking on behalf of another person, we may request that person’s email address solely for the purpose of processing and communicating your booking request. Under no circumstances will we use that email address for any other purpose without prior consent.
  • To manage the collection, settlement, and, where applicable, reporting to the competent authorities of the tourist tax applicable to hotel stays, in accordance with the tax and tourism regulations in force in Galicia and the Municipality of A Coruña.
  • To manage the receipt of CVs submitted through the Website for the following purposes:
    • Managing recruitment and employee selection processes.
    • Inviting applicants to job interviews and assessing their candidacy.

Personal data marked with an asterisk (*) are mandatory. Failure to provide such data will make it impossible to deliver the requested or contracted services.

The User guarantees that all data provided are true, accurate, complete, and up to date and shall be responsible for any direct or indirect damage resulting from any breach of this obligation. If the User provides personal data belonging to third parties, the User declares that they have obtained the relevant consent and undertake to inform such individuals of the content of this clause, releasing HOTEL from any liability in this respect.

LEGAL BASIS FOR PROCESSING YOUR DATA

  • HOTEL is entitled to process personal data on the basis of the accommodation contract, for the purpose of performing and maintaining that contractual relationship.
  • Certain processing activities, such as guest registration and the collection and settlement of tourist taxes, are carried out in compliance with legal obligations established by applicable public security, tax, and tourism regulations in Galicia and the Municipality of A Coruña.
  • With regard to the processing of CV data, the legal basis for processing is the applicant’s explicit consent, granted by submitting their CV and accepting this Privacy Policy.

DATA RETENTION PERIOD

The data collected by HOTEL will be retained for as long as the contractual relationship between the parties remains in force, provided that the User has not requested the deletion of the data and is legally entitled to do so. This retention period shall be understood as the duration of the reservation plus any additional retention periods required by applicable legal provisions.

With regard to CV data submitted by job applicants, if the applicant is not selected for the relevant position, the data will be retained for a maximum period of one year, during which time the applicant may be considered for other vacancies.

SECURITY MEASURES

HOTEL has implemented all legally required measures for the protection of personal data and has adopted all technical means reasonably available to prevent the loss, misuse, alteration, unauthorized access, or theft of personal data provided by users through the Website. This Website includes a reservation form for managing user bookings.

In order to ensure that the data contained in our records remain accurate, customers must keep their information up to date.

HOTEL’s services are not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. Therefore, HOTEL does not knowingly request or collect information relating to persons under the age of 18, except where they are accompanied by an adult or where such information is required to comply with legal obligations relating to hotel guest registration.

RECIPIENTS OF YOUR DATA

  • Suppliers and service providers engaged by HOTEL or hotel operators where necessary for the proper fulfillment of legal obligations and/or the purposes described above.
  • You are also informed that your data may be disclosed to the Spanish State Security Forces and Bodies (Police Authorities) in accordance with Law 1/1992, as amended by Organic Law 4/2015 of 30 March on the Protection of Public Security, and to any public authority where disclosure is legally required and within the limits established by law.
  • With regard to the tourist tax, your data may be communicated to the tax authorities and, where applicable, to the Municipality of A Coruña where necessary for the assessment, collection, and supervision of that tax, in accordance with applicable legislation.

USER RIGHTS

You may send a written request to HOTEL at the addresses indicated above, at any time and free of charge, together with a copy of a valid identification document, in order to exercise the following rights:

  • Withdraw any consent previously granted.
  • Access your personal data.
  • Request the correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Request the deletion of your data where, among other reasons, the data are no longer necessary for the purposes for which they were collected.
  • Obtain from HOTEL the restriction of processing where any of the conditions established under applicable data protection legislation are met.
  • In certain circumstances and on grounds relating to their particular situation, data subjects may object to the processing of their data. HOTEL will cease processing the data unless there are compelling legitimate grounds for doing so or for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims.
  • Request the portability of their personal data.
  • Lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos – AEPD) if they consider that HOTEL has infringed any rights granted to them under applicable data protection legislation.
